專題研習 Project Learning

專題研習是課程改革的四個關鍵項目之一。學校推行四個關鍵項目,重點是幫助學生發展獨立學習的能力。其中「專題研習」旨在幫助學生培養共通能力及建構知識,這正是新高中課程中,不可或缺的一環。

 

評估方面,本校強調持續性和多元化評估,就學生的研習態度、組內的合作性和蒐集、分析資料的技巧等加以評核。完成研習後,學生亦會就自己和組員的態度評分,分別填寫「自我評核表格」和「同儕評核表格」,讓學生就整年的學習經歷作出反思。

 

除了校內的匯報外,本校認為學生應該觀摩其他學校的專題研習,汲取別人的優點,所以鼓勵學生參加校外機構舉辦的專題研習比賽。本校每年均派出八支隊伍參加由香港電腦教育學會主辦的「學習如此多紛」專題研習及程式設計比賽,分別由不同學習領域的老師帶領。本校曾多次在比賽中獲得全場總冠軍,學生的研習能力得以肯定,老師的付出更是功不可沒。


專題研習組利用多樣而適當的策略,讓學生把握學習機會,提高學習動機,學會學習。

 

Project Learning is one of the four major areas in our school curriculum reform. The aim of the reform is to boost students’ ability to conduct self-directed learning. Project Learning aims at cultivating students’ collaborative learning and constructing knowledge, which play a crucial role in NSS curriculum.

 

In terms of assessment, the school addresses the importance of continuity and multiple strategies assessment. Students are evaluated according to their learning attitude, collaboration skills, research skills and analytic skills. After doing the project, students need to evaluate their own performance as well as their members by filling in self-evaluation form and peer evaluation form. This enables students to reflect on their own learning experience throughout the year.

 

Besides the presentation on campus, the school believes that students should expose themselves to projects done by students of other schools and learn from their strengths. Therefore, students are encouraged to take part in project learning competition held by other organizations. Every year, 8 groups, led by our school teachers of various key learning areas, take part in Fun with Learning, which is organized by The Hong Kong Association for Computer Education. The school has won overall champions for many years. This indicates their abilities in project research. The teachers’ effort is also highly appreciated.

 

Through a spectrum of learning strategies, project learning allows students to seize the opportunity as well as enhances their learning motivation to learn.
